This case study explains the social content which Hudson Rouge created around the prop journal used in the 2018 Navigator spot Uncharted Waters.
To explain the campaign I recut older commercials featuring Matthew McConaughey and incorporated fan-created video but when it came time to reveal the journal I felt it was important to see the physical prop. Luckily the creative director from the broadcast spot still had it in his desk so I brought my camera into the office and shot additional material of the journal. To emphasize that the animations of the journal pages were released to fans through social media we revealed them in a rendered iPhone and then created an animated Facebook page to show the enthusiastic response.
